Old URLs (first 200)
How to use this before a migration
- Run the check and download the CSV.
- Export your new site's URL list (sitemap.xml or your platform's export).
- For every old URL that has no exact match, pick the closest new page and add a 301 redirect. Only send a page to the homepage if there is truly no equivalent.
- After launch, spot-check the top folders above and watch Google Search Console for new 404s.
FAQ
Is it free?
Yes. The archive lookup (up to 1,000 unique HTML pages) and the CSV are free with no signup. The planned health check report would be paid; it does not exist yet.
Where does the list come from?
The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine CDX index: HTML pages it saved with a 200 status for your domain and its subdomains. Pages it never crawled are not included, so also export URLs from your current platform and Google Search Console.
Why is my list capped?
The free check stops at 1,000 unique URLs to stay fast and polite to the Internet Archive.
Is this affiliated with the Internet Archive?
No. We only read its public index. Please consider donating to the Internet Archive.
Privacy, in plain words
What we count, anonymously: the domain you checked and how many URLs were found, which buttons were used (report button, CSV download, footer links), the website or link tag that sent you here, and — only if you answer — your role and reason in the report form. Why: to learn whether this is worth building. No cookies, no IP addresses, no device fingerprints; to stop abuse we keep a one-way, daily-changing hash of your connection for about two minutes.
Your email is stored only if you type it into the report form and tick the box. It is used once, to tell you when the report is ready, and never sold or shared. Data is stored on Cloudflare (our host). To have your email deleted, reply to the launch email.
